So if you are interested to pursue a career in a particular field, then it’s a good opportunity for you to learn and grow. However, if General Banking interests you, then you can go for it without any change in the position or salary. You’ll still have job security.
Specialist Officers are mostly posted in urban areas/metro cities. Hence if you prefer cities than rural areas, then this job is for you.
Specialist Officers have targets and are periodically reviewed by their senior officers. Promotions are based on the performance. The hierarchy is:
General Manager (Top Management – Scale 7)
Deputy General Manager (Top Management – Scale 6)
Assistant General Manager (Senior Management – Scale 5)
Chief Manager (Senior Management – Scale 4)
Senior Manager – (Middle Management – Scale 3)
